Choosing the Right Climbing Skin Length

Choosing the right size skins for your ski is simple. Just follow these two steps.

Step 1: Length. Identify your skin length using the chart and find the corresponding length of your skis in centimeters. If your ski length falls within two sizes we recommend choosing the shorter length for minimal weight. G3 skins feature an adjustable tail strap and can accommodate 16cm in length adjustability.

Step 2: Width. Determine the width in millimeters of the widest part of your ski - usually at the shovel. Round up to the nearest skin width available and then trim to fit.

Once you have trimmed your skins you should expect to see some exposed ski base at the tail. This is on purpose as this area does not contribute to grip while skinning, and allows you to have a slightly smaller climbing skin, saving weight and space.
