The 2010 North American Magazine ski test awards are out and G3 is a huge winner. A record breaking number of awards were given to G3’s new ski program recognizing the efforts and design innovation of G3’s design team and chief ski designer Francois Sylvain.
The Tonic and Zest, our new versatile freeride skis built using G3’s new JoyRide construction, were clear winners. The Tonic received Powder Magazine’s Skier’s Choice Award and Skiing Magazine’s Test Finalist Award, while the Zest brought home the most awards of all 2010 skis with Powder Magazine’s Skier’s Choice Award, Backcountry Editor’s Choice Award, and Skiing Magazine’s Best in Test Award.
The ZenOxide, G3’s new lightweight high performance fat boy, was also an instant winner. Bringing home the prestigious Backcountry Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Award and the respected Powder Magazine’s Skier’s Choice Award, the ZenOxide is certain to delight skiers everywhere.Receiving awards for a second year in a row, the el Hombre, Saint, Luscious and Viva remain integral members of G3’s 2010 ski line-up. Once again, el Hombre’s powerful and stable performance was awarded Powder Magazine’s Skier’s Choice Award while the Viva’s versatile dimensions and powerful flex took Skiing Magazine’s Best in Test. The Luscious’ large sweet spot again enticed telemark skiers winning Telemark Skier’s Free Heel Life Award. And finally, the lightweight agile performance of the Saint topped off podium finishes with Skiing Magazines Best in Test Award and Powder Magazine’s Skier’s Choice Award.
